Tomorrow is my little girl’s birthday.

She turns 4 and she wanted a BARBIE party.

Well… a girl gets what a girl wants!

Cake – almost done.

Candy bags for the party – done.

Goody bags with party favours to take home – done.

Balloons – done.

So, we are good to go !

She has even lined up the Barbies,so that they can play with them at the party in her new Barbie house.

Oh yes – she’s a Barbie girl !!!!!

All that is now left to be done…is to get the Barbies’  hair done …. Agree?!

Oh…to be a little girl again….

But speaking of Barbie – seems there was something of note in The Washington Post for us big girls too…??!

Mmmmm….wonder if I should also have a Barbie theme for my upcoming birthday??!!

On Oct. 20, 2010, Christies in New York will sell the Barbie, created by international fine jewelry designer, Stefano Canturi, for an estimated $300,000 to $500,000. All proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. AP Photo/Canturi Jewels NO SALES AP

Came to read the countertop post and ended up reading the Barbie one….my countertops are already cluttered….unfortunately not by choice?!? So….a post on decluttering maybe? Great idea though – I’ll think of a way to clutter them with things I like 🙂 Mmmmm…looking at the cluttering around me – any thoughts on how to organise toys?? P.S. Like the cake. Got a feeling I’ll have to remember that one for the future…

    @ Grethe – I see a post on de-cluttering coming…
    Toys – mmmm – sell the child !! 😉 Just kidding !
That might be another post idea – watch the space. I do know how to NOT store toys !

Am I correct in assuming that you used marshmallows to decorate the dress of this lovely Barbie cake? If so, it is such a great idea and so different from the normal frosting used for these kind of cakes.

Yep. Those were marshmallows ! I love using marshmallows when doing a party. Since you like it, I will post another party (maybe i even make it my next post!) , where I used it instead of frosting and it really does the trick ! Thanks for your comments !

Please do post this one as well. I am a marshmallow “freak” myself when it comes to parties. I am busy with a lion face cake for my granddaughter’s birthday tomorrow (6th) and will use two big fluffy white marshmallows for his eyes.
